Necmettin Erbakan University attaches great importance to the successful execution of the internationalization process and the development of sustainable and applicable internationalization strategies. Since its establishment, Necmettin Erbakan University gained an international identity in a short time and established the Coordinatorship of Foreign Relations in 2019, and under this coordinatorship, various sub-coordinatorships were created to accelerate the implementation of internationalization strategies.

As the Coordinatorship of Foreign Relations, we aim to make our University internationally recognized by improving its international scientific, academic, cultural and social dimensions. In line with this purpose, we aim to ensure that our students and academic/administrative staff take part in both national and international platforms with mobility and exchange programs, and we aim to be individuals who structure relations with international institutions and organizations.

Exchange programs are carried out under the Coordinatorship of Foreign Relations with Erasmus+, Mevlana and Farabi coordinatorships. We offer education opportunities at our university for international students by conducting YÖS exams (Foreign Student Admission Exam) with the Coordinatorship of Internationalization. At the same time, the Coordinatorship of International Students aims to introduce the education opportunities at our university to the international students studying at our university, and the Coordinatorship of Overseas Turkish Students to our citizens of Turkish origin living abroad, and to provide guidance and coordination to the processes after they are placed in our university programs.

We increase our international student quota by 100% and host around 2000 international students from dozens of different countries every year.

With Erasmus+ Exchange programs, more than 500 students and more than 100 staff benefited from the mobility between 2014-2020. Our university, which has the “Erasmus Charter for Higher Education-ECHE”, enables our students to go to universities abroad for both undergraduate and graduate education, thanks to the bilateral cooperation agreements it has made. With the exchange programs, a pool of English courses has been created in each academic unit for foreign students who want to study at our university.

In addition to the Erasmus program, more than 50 student and staff exchanges were made with the cooperation of 11 different countries within the scope of the Mevlana Program.
